Civil liability arising from the loss of a more favorable business opportunity
Main Article Content
Abstract
The transformations in the context of the global market economy require changes in the way negotiations are conducted, contracts are made, and ultimately, accountability is established. Drawing from this scenario, this study investigates the possibility of civil liability for the loss of an opportunity to close a better deal. To revisit the topic, the method of deductive bibliographic review is proposed, through the formulation of examples and analysis of case law. In the end, it appears that not only is it possible to be held responsible for the loss of a better deal, but this possibility is faced daily by the legal operator.
