Impacts on civil liability of external mechanisms of “elo” progression in e-sports in face of the abuse of rights elojob, eloduo and elocoaching in League of Legends

Abstract
This article deals with the impacts on civil liability of mechanisms of progression of “link” in e-sports in the face of the concept of abuse of rights. Its general objective is to analyze the practices of elojob, eloduo and elocoach from the League of Legends (LoL) game, considering such conduct as abusive practices or not in the light of article 187 of the Civil Code. Thus, the research problem is: do elojob, eloduo and elocoach practices constitute abuse of rights? As for the methodology, the deductive method of approach, the monographic procedure method and the research technique of indirect documentation were used. The study was divided into three parts: the first presenting the e-sports scenario with an emphasis on Brazil; the second describing level progression in the League of Legends game; and the third working on the practices of elojob, eloduo and elocoach in the face of the idea of abuse of rights. Finally, it was concluded that the three behaviors analyzed move values in the e-sports scenario, however, in the face of LoL, only elocoaching does not have the potential to configure itself as an abuse of rights. The eloduo will depend on the context, while the elojob constitutes abuse of rights, in addition to a possible violation of the rules of the game.
