Abstract
It is with great honor that I undertake the task of writing a review of the book "La responsabilidad civil derivada de los daños causados por sistemas inteligentes y su aseguramiento. Análisis del tratamiento ofrecido por la Unión Europea" by Professor Dr. Manuel Ortiz Fernández. Dr. Ortiz Fernández holds a degree in Law from the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, Spain, where he received several awards and scholarships, including the Extraordinary Prize of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and the Scholarship for the Promotion of Excellence from the Consellería. He later completed a Master's degree in Liability Law at the University of Alicante, Spain, also receiving the Extraordinary Prize from the University of Alicante. Since 2018, he has been an Assistant Professor of Civil Law at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche. In September 2020, he defended his doctoral thesis, which was awarded the International Doctorate mention due to a research stay he conducted. Furthermore, in April 2021, he was appointed Coordinator of the Research Agreements area at the Vice-Rectorate for Research, a position he currently holds. In October 2021, he published this excellent work, which I now have the honor to present to the readers of the IBERC Journal through this review, published by Dykinson, a publishing house based in Madrid, Spain.
