The duty to inform a tool for preventing harm in digital environments
Main Article Content
Abstract
The development of digital environments has significantly transformed the way goods and services are contracted. Within this context, we observe an increase in vulnerabilities experienced by the weaker party in the relationship, typically composed of consumers. One of the tools that can help to partially rebalance this relationship is the fulfillment of the duty to inform, albeit in an aggravated manner, highlighting the need for the recipient of the message not only to have access to it but also to fully understand it. In this way, potential damages that these new relationships may generate can be avoided and prevented.
